The role involves telephonically engaging with individuals and encouraging them to support WWF by providing long-term support via debit order and will report directly to Individual Giving Data & Income Analyst.

•Contact private individuals by telephone to acquire committed debit order donors and supporters for WWF.
•Conduct both welcome, reactivation, upgrade and cold acquisition calls.
•Build rapport and trust with potential and existing donors, providing an excellent engagement experience at a closing rate of 10%.
•Continually improve knowledge and understanding of the WWF work and, in particular, the various campaigns, confidently ensuring potential donors are informed, not mislead, at any point during the sales process.
•Use scripts and guidelines as provided and regularly adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific potential donors.
•Manage a number of calling campaigns simultaneously.
•Meet daily, weekly and monthly targets as prescribed by the WWF Telefundraising Performance Management Indicators.
•Meet both quality and quantity standards when engaging with donors.
•Maintain commitment, motivation and enthusiasm.
•Behave in a professional manner, reflecting WWF’s values, ethos and policies at all times.
•Accurately and appropriately record, protect and report fundraising and donor data.
•Attend regular training, team meetings and discussions for improvement.
•Completed Tertiary education
•Min 2 years sales (cold calling) experience required
•Call centre experience is an advantage
•Have the ability to inspire people through outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Superb written and spoken communication skills in English and one other official South African language
•Unshakable drive and self-motivation to succeed and build your career
•A self-starter, keen, ambitious, and hungry to get results
•Proactive, organised and obsessed with sales
•Effective at time management
•Have a strong work ethic, be target motivated and work well under pressure
•Passion for nature and conservation an advantage
•Ability to work remotely as and when required
