Ensuring maintenance and repair of company equipment by:
•Conducting regular checks on all equipment used
•Reporting any damages to equipment or required repairs
•Undertaking fleet assets auditing, investigating and reporting on deviations from asset register
•Performing ‘odd jobs’ around the company’s premises which do not require the attention of an artisan i.e. changing light bulbs, etc

Ensuring that the building & equipment is maintained at all times by:
•Proposing changes to methods or types of materials used to prevent premature failures or prolong equipment life
•Proposing change of suppliers to improve services/reduce costs
•Ensuring that the premises are clean and that rubbish is collected and taken away
•Ensuring that the grounds are maintained at all times
•Co-ordinating all external contract work conducted on site
•Ensuring that all external contract work has been authorized before it commences
•Ensuring that the all equipment is maintained and serviced as per company spec
•Ensuring that a minimum of three quotations is obtained from various suppliers as a comparison
•Ensuring that all external contractors are familiar and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times whilst on site
•Ensuring that relevant stock levels for consumable items is kept at all times i.e. light bulbs, etc
•Ensuring that monthly meetings are held and minutes taken with the Land Lord

•Matric (Grade 12) minimum
•Experience within transport industry
•Basic mechanical understanding
•Good administrative skills
•Basic Fleet Management Program knowledge
•Tyre and Diesel Management
•Basic building maintenance understanding
•Intermediate computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
•Numerical computation and analysis
•Good time management
•A valid unendorsed driver’s license (code 10)
•Ability to work unsociable hours
•Ability to work under pressure and to meet set targets
•Ability to communicate on all levels – both internally and externally
•Ability to work unsupervised the majority of the time
•Own transport to and from work
