Purpose of the Job | This is an exciting opportunity in the OK Furniture division as we endeavour to better understand & partner with our stakeholders, our Human Capital. The RHRM will be a key roleplayer in ensuring that best People Practices are implemented and adhered to. As the RHRM you will be required to partner with the branches & regional management to provide an effective & efficient Human Resource Service. This position will suit a self-starter who is passionate about HR and who excels under pressure. |

Job Objectives | To ensure the availability of staff as determined by sales demands – Ensure that sufficient permanent and part-time staff are available for branches to function optimally – Assist with the Recruitment and Selection process and ensure that standards and procedures are adhered to – Prepare manpower budgets for branches annually – Draw up individual branch structures and budgets To ensure that the required standards of HR Administration are complied with and to support with the administration of: – Payroll – Benefits – Injury on Duty – Health and Safety To ensure the development & training of management and staff – Orientate new staff members To ensure the sound application of industrial relations practices within regions – Handle labour disputes – Provide sound IR advice to management and staff – Ensure that you stay abreast of all labour legislation (relevant Acts and applicable Sectoral Determination) – Prepare for and represent the company at arbitration hearings at the CCMA |
Qualifications | Essential – Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Legislation |
Experience | Essential – Generalist HR experience (3-6 years) Desirable – HR experience in a retail environment |
Knowledge and Skills | Essential – Labour Legislation – Training – Recruitment – HR Administration – Interpersonal skills – Management skills – Conflict management – Time management – Computer literacy (MS Office & GSuite) – Facilitation skills – Problem-solving skills – Performance Management Skills Desirable – CCMA operations – Retail Operations Be in possession of a valid Drivers Licence as driving to branches will be required. Willingness to work irregular hours as it may be required of you to work over weekends & public holidays. |
