Core purpose of the role
The main purpose of the role is to supervise operations, briefing stations and controlling in order to ensure the effective functioning of the Manline Energy operational requirements.

Key deliverables and outputs
1. Monitor routes effectively.
2. Assist with the planning and scheduling of vehicles (incl. co-ordination of convoys and fleet escorts).
3. Ensure loading and offloading times are met and delays are escalated to the relevant manager.
4. Control vehicle documentation (incl. vehicle documents, fire permits, safe loading passes and dip charts).
5. Process POD’s (proof of delivery) to customers
6. Lead a team of fleet controllers for relevant transport operation.
7. Plan shift rosters and time off for drivers and fleet controllers.
8. Drive communication and engagement through clear and effective communication of routes and instructions, effective risk monitoring and response, implementation of the hand over process.
9. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance and break downs of trucks and tankers.
10. Administer the correct capturing of all trip information on MAX / MMS.
11. Control the briefing and debriefing process to ensure maximum efficiency.
12. Conduct toolbox talks and PPE inspections.
13. Complete incident and accident documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
14. Ensure daily reports are generated and are effectively communicated.
Academic qualifications
• Matric / Grade 12

• Diploma in transport management
• Dangerous goods road transport

Must be able to work shifts

Work experience
• 2 years of experience in a transport environment or similar role

• Knowledge of the NBCRFLI Main Agreement
• Knowledge of MAX / MMS
• Knowledge of Mix telematics
• Knowledge of Drivecam
• Knowledge of mechanical parts of trucks and tankers

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Driver’s License and be willing and able to travel when required
