For the third year, according to a survey by Job Outlook, there has been a positive increase in the amount of college graduates being hired.
As a result of the growing products and services on offer, and needing to keep up with retiring HR staff, there is a growing demand for new graduates in the job market.
Job Positions in demand
The following seem to be most in demand:

- Electrical engineering

At the top of the list are mechanical engineering. Aerospace, automotive, and mechanical equipment manufacturers come in close behind. They are also planning to hire graduates holding a Ph.D in computer and science related courses.
Economics/Finance graduates are being sought by financial, banking, transportation, and insurance services. Merchandisers, beverage and food processing companies, and financial services may need more graduates with business management/administration degrees. A third of business owners seem to be planning on hiring associate graduates that are categorized into three areas: business related, engineering, and technology degrees. The most in need of two year course graduates, are insurance and engineering/surveying companies, for they need a productive technical knowledge which does not need more training. They form part of the hands-on workforce, who develop the kind of good work ethic unfortunately observed by employers as missing in other previous amateur graduates.
