Introduction

A position has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Human Resources Development Manager to join our dynamic team.

Job Purpose

Based in Jet Park, the purpose of the job is to provide a professional training and development service to a Distribution Centre and/or Retail stores within a division.

Key Performance Areas

  • Develop and implement the training strategy in line with HR strategic objectives
  • Conduct divisional training plan in line with strategic objectives
  • Execute training plan to meet DC, SPAR Academy and SETA objectives
  • Market training programmes/interventions in terms of identified needs
  • Lead the training team
  • Develop and manage training budget
  • Determine the effectiveness of training programmes/interventions
  • Manage learnerships and learning programmes
  • Manage trainee programme in line with DC and SETA objectives
  • Act as SDF for the DC (WSP, ATR & PIVOTAL grants)
  • Recover expenses and grants (discretional, mandatory and tax rebates)
  • Manage training reports in line with Central office and SETA requirements
  • Provide skills development reports for BBBEE rating
  • Drive Talent Management Programme
  • Comply with SPAR Academy Quality Management System

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric plus an HR or Training Degree/ Diploma
  • SDF Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a training management position
  • Experience in the implementation of training-related legislation
  • Must be service-orientated
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Time management skills
  • Build strategic working relationships
  • Financial/budget management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle pressure
