Leading software company with a strong focus on employee engagement and wellbeing has an opportunity available for an accomplished Head of IT with strong people management experience (5+ years) with at least 3 years experience with SaaS. You describe yourself as someone who pushes innovation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing staff in Ops & Support (team of 7)
  • Nurture/mentor, manage the team to successfully manage infrastructure and ensure customer-centric support
  • Engage with customers; fast-track support issues / escalation
  • Strategically manage infrastructure to align with Company’s strategy and development pipeline
  • Strategize, create, implement and manage effective security measures
  • Effectively organise and manage internal IT and infrastructure (Wifi, UPS, cameras, devices etc)
  • Scale the Ops and Support department to provide real time customer centric support on a global level
  • Advise / guide and support internal stakeholders enabling excellent delivery of services to clients
  • Manage budget for Ops and Support department (including infrastructure and recruitment costs), strategic planning of people resources, improvement of current infrastructure resources (hosting, cloud, connectivity and telephony)
  • Implement / monitor fit-for-purpose processes based on best practice
  • Design / manage / improve strong software release processes 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements to apply:

  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or other relvant recognised professional qualification
  • ITIL/ITSM business management processes (advantageous)
  • 5+ years experience in a Technical Manager/Lead/Director (or similar) role
  • Experience managing a team (at least 5 years)
  • At least 3 years SaaS / ERP experience (essential)
  • Cloud experience (essential)
  • Experienced as part of Management forum / Manco / Exco or similar
  • Have the ability to apply long term strategic approach to grow department in line with future technology requirements
  • Passion for technology
  • Linux/Windows infrastructure experience (advantageous)
  •  Experienced in using team dynamics to leverage strengths ensuring employees experience a positive journey with the company 
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing IT Support methodology (preferred)
  • Extensive experience with (and track record of) designing / architecting / optimizing IT systems
  • Sound knowledge of IT system architectures (advantageous)
