Experienced Stores Controller Required

National Distribution Company Requires the Services of an Experienced Stores Controller

Duties Include

Responsible
for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and unpacking of goods as well as
dispatching
goods from the store.

Draw
required stock as per picking slips or delivery
notes from the shelves and conveys the order to the counter or packing / inspection
area pending delivery.
Responsible for
inspecting, checking and recording quantities of all stock received against the
transfer sheet to ensure that every stock item transferred is present and
report any discrepancies identified.
Maintain effective
stock control at all times to ensure
accurate inventory records.
Ensuring that there
are adequate security systems in
place, including controlled access in &
out of the stores, surveillance cameras and alarm systems to enhance the safety
and security of the stock.
File
copies of waybills, packing slips, transfers and other documents as required.
Other duties may be added as required by the company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

§ Matric
certificate

§ Minimum three
years stores or warehouse experience.

§ Knowledge of
Syspro and or other accounting software an

advantage.

§ Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a
pressurized

environment, prioritize and
multitask.

§ Sound problem solving, planning and fault finding
abilities.

§ Valid driver’s
license an advantage

§ Reliable
transport to travel to and from work will be an advantage.

§ Computer literacy essential.
