An opportunity exists for a dynamic individual to own the delivery of BDO’s national graduate recruitment strategy. The individual will work with the Head of Recruitment and other key stakeholders in the business to attract, select and secure top graduate talent for the business. The ability to operate in a fast paced, agile, future focused environment is critical for success in this role.

Job Functions Human Resources,Recruitment
Industries Accounting & Auditing
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementation of the National Graduate Recruitment Strategy
•Leads the implementation and execution of the Graduate Recruitment strategic plan and initiatives
•Participates in service line workforce planning discussions and
•Contributes to the development of the annual budget and monitors the spend against budget
•Works closely with the People & Culture Business Partners, Partner Champions, Internal Ambassadors and other stakeholders to ensure delivery of the Graduate strategy

Implementation of the Marketing and Brand Development strategy
•Works with the Marketing team in developing relevant collateral
•Owns the Graduate Recruitment Communication Plan and works with key stakeholders to ensure regular, relevant and effective communication with potential and signed students
•Drives the social media campaign
•Drives on campus communication plans

Design and maintenance of a positive, professional candidate experience
•Design/refinement of the recruitment process
•Enhancement and streamlining of the screening process
•Automation of early stages of the process to decrease reliance on human resources
•Assessing the quality of the process and identifying opportunities for improvement
•Refining interview guides (with support from Head of Recruitment)
•Reducing fee earner and P&C Business Partner time in interviews, whilst maximising the quality of information obtained from the process
•Assess critical skills for success and find ways to assess these during the selection process
•Consider the need for and implementation of supplementary assessment tools to aid in decision making
•Measuring the ROI of existing assessments and processes

University relationship Management
•Work with relevant Partners & other existing university relationship managers in each region in entrenching the relationship and maximising benefit from the alliance
•Establishing new networks at universities where we do not have existing relationships
•Identifying and driving opportunities for collaboration with targeted universities
•Sourcing opportunities for and coordinating guest lectures, presentations and other brand building opportunities
•Identifying sponsorship opportunities that yield optimum returns of our investment
•Obtaining access to Top Student lists/contact details

Management of Career Days and other events
•Organising, planning and coordination of University Career Days (on site and virtual)
•Leading the career day (and other event) teams
•Keeping abreast of best practice and aligning BDO strategy
•Working with Marketing on ‘scripts’ and brand messages for BDO Ambassadors to ensure consistent messaging
•Training of BDO representatives at career days

Managing the implementation of the BDO Graduate Bursary Program
•Design and implementation of the Bursary marketing campaign
•Working closely with the Audit Training Office in respect of awarding bursaries
•Measuring the ROI on bursaries

Designing and coordinating the vacation and other related experiential learning programs
•Designing on site and virtual programs
•Development of creative and innovative content and activities (with support from the internal COE teams)
•Leveraging these programs as a marketing & selection tool
•Working with relevant P&C BP’s, Grad Champions and other stakeholders (e.g. Audit Training officer ) in rolling out these programs

Post appointment communication and interaction
•Refining and driving the relationship management strategy for signed trainees
•Working with regional teams in respect of:
oEvent identification and planning

New Joiner Induction
•Identifying signed trainee skills gaps and working with the L&D team to address these during the onboarding process where possible in the design of onboarding programs which address these
•Work with L&D team ensure alignment between recruitment & selection experience and onboarding experience

•B degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or related field
•Post graduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or related field will be advantageous

•3-5 years experience in Human Resources, at least 2 of which must be in a graduate recruitment role
•Experience in a professional service firm is highly desirable
