BDO South Africa is looking for a Copywriter to join our Business Development division in our Johannesburg office.

Main responsibility is to produce engaging, clear, compelling copy for different mediums such as websites, proposals and other client related documentation. The main duties include researching, producing interesting written content in line with the requirements of the stakeholders and ensuring their work is accurate and of a high quality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Write strong, eye-catching, compelling copy that speaks to the clients business strategy
•Interpret briefs to understand project requirements
•Conduct research into the clients business in order to ensure the message speaks to the brand
•Edit and proofread copy as needed and ensure accuracy
•Meeting with stakeholders to understand their message and target audience
•Interpreting technical information and turning it into persuasive copy concepts
•Collaborating with internal departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of materials
Requirements
Qualifications:
•BSc/BA in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
•Advanced Business Writing qualification is advantageous

Work Experience:
•3-4 years’ experience
•Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
•Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
•B2B writing experience

Knowledge:
Microsoft office 365
•SEO/writing for the web
