The core purpose of the Supervisor: Branch role is effectively running the Branch in conjunction with the Branch Manager, which includes, staff management, branch operations, sales (Branch Auction, Online Daily Sales).

Branch Operations
•Ensure that daily goals and targets are set and agreed upon daily in morning team meetings to ensure structure and key deliverables are met on a daily basis
•Daily security check on perimeter fences daily
•Ensure that the premises is clean (Bond, assessment and sales yard)
•Monthly stock take
•Ensure that all forklift checklists and Yard Controller sheets are completed before shifts start
•Assist to manage daily work in progress sheets for General Workers, Cleaners and Forklift Drivers
•Ensure that all vehicles are secured before stock into the bond yard
•Ensure all drivable vehicles are driven to the bay allocation
•Ensure that all accident damaged vehicles are moved with the forklift using a plank to the bay allocation
•Manage all keys received at the Branch and do monthly stock take on keys
•Manage all branch losses / sale cancellations and investigations is assistance is required by the Branch Manager
•Assist to manage the maintenance and fuel usage on all branch forklift’s, when the Branch Manage is not on site
•Manage daily monitoring and upkeep of the full process on 360 standard operating procedures
•Manage the Health and Safety of the branch when Branch Manager is not available
•Assist to Manage the process of the back-up Generator on site / maintenance, fuel and battery
•Managing of the starting ration process
•Manage the process of day 1 coding and code changes
•Manage all spare keys received and check that all updates on the system have been done
•Manage all keys testing on vehicles
•Manage the daily updates on all outstanding M & M codes and correcting wrong M & M codes
•Effectively manage Head Office, other Branches or Customer queries
•Manage petty cash, casual wages, purchase requisition sign-off etc.
•Ensure that the Branch dashboard is up to date daily
•Host weekly branch meetings if Branch Manager is not on site

Stock Administration

•Manage and ensure all vehicles that arrive at the branch are stocked in within 24hours from arriving on site
•Manage all outstanding daily tows within 48hours
•Assist with daily vehicle checklist sign off
•Oversee physical movement of vehicles under IWHM’s
•Oversee and manage the process of all vehicles received without keys
•Assist where necessary on all stocking in vehicles on the Unify System
•Manage all VIN queries from Insurance Companies and Head Office
•Responsible for all Bond/Assessment and Sales Releases from site on the Unify System together with the release checklist, upload and storage of all release photos
•Manage the daily responsibility for stock and contract amendments including filing
•Manage the updates daily for all new and amended bay allocations

Sales – Branch Auctions / Online Daily Sales
•Manage and oversee all auction preparation and delivery, as to ensure that the online and branch auctions are checked, verified and limited complaints are received through audit

•Ensure that the starting ratios of vehicles is kept to the highest agreed upon level to generate high recovery ratios
•Manage all sales recoveries and sales cancellations as to meet the required targets
•Implement the required practice to ensure that all auctions meet the required standard of excellence and escalate any issues for action
•Upon poor auction roll out practices being identified, immediately take a proactive approach in solving the root problem and applying preventative measures
•The incumbent will be measured on the success of the recovery ratios and sales cancellations in line with the Business
•Timeously attend to all customer queries as to bring about an income generating resolution

People Management
•Manage your subordinates by ensuring optimal delivery of performance, attendance, internal customer service and engagement of the Branch
•Work with the Human Capital Department in ensuring “people” related areas are effectively managed and supported
•Ensure that your subordinates are optimally trained and are performing at above average performance levels
•Lead in accordance with the Worldwide Code of Conduct and Value Proposition
•Able to manage and adapt management style when required to accommodate a multi-faceted group of employees

Academic qualifications

•Matric Certificate
•Business Management / Related Tertiary Education
•Drivers Licence


•MIBCO Bargaining Council
•Vehicle Codes and Description

•Valid Driver’s license, RSA Identification
•No Criminal Record

Work experience

•1 – 3 years in management ideally in a Warehousing
•At ease to work in an external environment in weathered, hot / cold environment
•Not afraid to take an active role and get their “hands dirty” on the ground work
•Proven record of accomplishment of driving sales and operations.


•Proven track record of working within cross-functional teams, while successfully delivering on recoveries
•Insurance background
