Job Functions Nursing
Industries Healthcare

To promote, deliver and maintain a comprehensive occupational and primary health service to the employees.

Oversee and manage the administrative and operational activities of occupational health services in the clinic.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Eliminate and control occupational and environmental hazards by continuous identification, assessment, and the implementation of preventative/corrective actions.
Provide and/or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements such as OSHA.
Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work, maintain OSHA records/ reports and worker medical files
Collaborate with Health and Safety, Operations, and Human Resources to develop operations, programs, and services by providing content expertise.
Conduct medical surveillance programmes such as pre-placement medicals, periodical, transfer, and exit medicals.
Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses efficiently and professionally within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines
Guide and direct all referrals to outside healthcare providers and services
Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work, maintain records/ reports and worker medical files.
Provide a Primary Health Care Programme to employees which includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating the employees with non – work-related illnesses and injuries.
Monitor chronic conditions, facilitate access to medication.
Provide health education.
Provide wellness services in the clinic
HIV counseling and testing.
Prepare monthly reports.

Great interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask
Critical thinking,
Database, spreadsheet, word processing, and medical records software;
Use of medical monitoring equipment

Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Degree or Diploma Occupational Health Nursing.
Primary health care qualification will be an advantage
Dispensing certificate
Spirometry, Audiometry, and Vision Screening certificates
Registration with SANC and SASOHN
Driver’s license will be beneficial

At least 2-5 years relevant experience in an occupational Health environment
Be able to travel in South Africa and SADEC countries

NB: Non – South African citizens must have a valid work permit
